Ziovs 3D Player turns any movie into a stereo 3D picture while it plays. A flat film is given depth by an AI depth model and shown side-by-side or over/under for a VR headset; an existing 3D film is played as it is, unsqueezed onto the screen you are watching. The film is decoded once and the stereo frame is composed on the GPU, so nothing is ever re-encoded and switching between 2D and 3D is instant.

Depth Anything V2 estimates depth per frame on your own graphics card. Nothing is uploaded, nothing is re-encoded.
A browser in 3D
Any web page or video can be watched in 3D inside the player, with the pointer and keyboard still belonging to the page.

What it does
Real-time 2D to 3D
Any 2D film is converted to stereoscopic 3D as you watch, on any DirectX 12 card with automatic fallback to the processor. Flat, Auto, Inside and On are one click away, and Auto reads the picture and picks for you.
Nothing is re-encoded
The film is decoded once and the stereo frame is composed on the GPU. Switching between 2D and 3D is instant and the file on the disk is never touched.
A browser in 3D
A full web browser inside the player. Pages stay clickable, scrollable and typeable while in 3D, with built-in ad, tracker and pop-up blocking.
Every codec, every container
MKV, MP4, MOV, AVI, WMV, FLV, WebM, MPEG-2, TS, M2TS, VOB, MXF, RealMedia, 3GP, OGV and the rest, with hardware decoding and HDR.
Depth that stays steady
Depth is solved per shot, not guessed. The per-eye shift and screen plane are measured so the background sits exactly at your display limit, and walls and faces do not warp.
Subtitles in the right place
Subtitles are drawn by the player and placed at the correct depth in both eyes. External subtitle files, and offline translation into other languages.

Before you buy
How do I get it?
It is sold on itch.io as a one-off download. You get Ziovs3DPlayer-Setup-1.0.27.exe, about 493 MB, and it is yours to keep. It is €12.50 while it is on sale, and the price can go higher if you want to support the work - the listing takes any amount from €12.50 up.
Is there a subscription?
No. You buy it once and there is no account, no activation and nothing that expires. The setup carries its own Python, the video engine and the depth models, and the PC it is installed on needs nothing else.
Does it work with a VR headset?
Yes. The player detects SteamVR, Bigscreen, Virtual Desktop and Immersed, and sends the right format for the display you are actually using. Auto picks half side-by-side while a headset is showing the desktop, and the picture filling the window on a monitor.
Does it touch my files?
Never. There is no telemetry, no history, no account and no upload. Temporary files are cleaned up each time the player starts, and only your own bookmarks are kept.
Is any generative AI used?
No generative AI was used in the player. The depth map is measured from the picture with Depth Anything V2 and the picture is warped from it - no frame is generated, invented or repainted.
Which languages are there?
Twelve, complete: English, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Italian, Dutch, Polish, Russian, Turkish, Chinese and Japanese. They are picked from your Windows language and can be changed live.
